Doug Heintz

Chairman of the Board

Doug Heintz is a serial entrepreneur and business leader with over 35 years of executive experience. Doug graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland with a BS in Physical Education. He has been married to his junior high sweetheart, Charlene, for over 45 years. They have three amazing God-loving adult children and eight grandchildren. Doug has invested his entire life coaching, mentoring and advising upcoming future family and business leaders. Doug was the former owner of International Fitness Centers of San Antonio, the founder and President of Home Court America Family Sports and Fitness Center of San Antonio and the head coach of the Castle Hills First Baptist School Boys Varsity Basketball team from 1993-1998. In 1997, the San Antonio Express News named Doug Coach Of The Year Runner-up after taking the Castle Hills Eagles to the State Championship game.

J.K. Leonard

J.K. is a practicing attorney in San Antonio, Texas. As the proud father of three young men who played club and varsity basketball for San Antonio Christian High School, he was immediately drawn to the work of the Admirals Academy. J.K. and his wife, Georganne, are honored and humbled to be a small part of Nick's ministry. Their three sons Drew (23), Colin (21) and Reese (18) all live in Austin where they attend, or have graduated from, the University of Texas at Austin.

Jerald Reiner

Treasurer

Jerald Reiner is a licensed financial professional with Axa Advisors since 2001. Previous to a career as a financial professional, Jerald played professional basketball for 5 years in Italy, Australia, Ireland and Mexico. Jerald also went to training camp with the San Antonio Spurs in 1999 and was released previous to the season. 

Jerald Reiner has been a lifelong Texan and graduated from Texas Lutheran University in 1997 with a BA in finance. Jerald is married to his lovely wife Patti, with three children Aidan (11), Avery (9) and Andrew (5). In his spare time Jerald enjoys spending time with family, coaching sports for his children and playing golf.

Nathan A. Ketterling

Director

Mr. Ketterling is a partner and practicing attorney at Rosenthal Pauerstein Sandoloski Agather LLP, located in San Antonio, Texas.  Mr. Ketterling works in the firm's Disputes & Litigation and Business & Corporate Transaction groups.  Mr. Ketterling also maintains a non-profit corporate practice, representing numerous churches and other non-profit entities such as schools, colleges and universities.

Mr. Ketterling represents and counsels litigation clients in all types of civil litigation matters, counsels corporate clients on virtually all business issues, and represents non-profit clients in litigation matters, obtaining and preserving tax exempt status, corporate governance, and complying with Internal Revenue Service regulations.

Mr. Ketterling started playing competitive basketball during his early childhood, played through high school, and played two years of college.  Mr. Ketterling has also coached boys and girls basketball at various levels.

Mr. Ketterling has been married to his wife Christina for 15 years, and they have three children, Micah, Victoria, and Wyatt.

Kristopher Hochart

Serial entrepreneur and Broker/Owner of Red Wagon Properties since 2005. Kris was attracted to the mission and development of the Admirals because of the unique challenges they face in a new capitalist economy since the fall of the Soviet Union.  His success in his business is credited to God who has directed his steps and his wife that allows him to take financial risks. They have three children Wimberley, Hadessa, and Crockett that enjoy an adventurous life.  It might be noted that he is a terrible basketball player, but loves to watch the game.

Darryl Lyons

CEO and co-founder of the PAX Financial Group, Darryl Lyons has been a licensed professional in the financial services industry since 1999.  He is the author of the book Small Business Big Pressure: A Faith-based Approach to Guide the Ambitious Entrepreneur.

A lifelong Texan, Darryl began his career in the financial sector just one day removed from earning his bachelor’s degree in corporate financial management and accounting at St. Mary’s University. Throughout his career, he has won awards for recruiting and development from Fortune 100 companies.
